Material includes both handout sheets, in Hebrew and English (with teacher and student versions), as well as study material intended to deepen the teacher's own understanding of the topic. Material is prepared according to the principle of direct learning, and is meant to be used in a group-study setting, in which students actively contribute to the learning experience. Teaching Tip #1If you find that your students are having trouble grasping your point, it may not be due to a lack of clarity or understanding on your or their parts. It may be due to preconceptions they have, which are preventing them from learning something new.
Before presenting your idea, ask them what they think about the topic and write their answers on the board. Once they see clearly what they already believe, it's easier for them to learn something new. |

Reel Torah

Few things grab young people's attention more than films and popular media. This series of classes presents fundamental Jewish philosophical issues in the context of analyzing current films for their deeper meaning.
